TPC Benchmark, TPC-H, TPC-DS and TPC-DI are trademarks of the Transaction Processing Performance Council (TPC). BenchBox is not affiliated with or endorsed by the TPC.

What BenchBox includes

BenchBox runs workloads based on the TPC-H, TPC-DS and TPC-DI specifications. The query text BenchBox generates and shows in these docs is derived from TPC materials. The TPC specifications and their tools remain the authoritative source; see tpc.org.

What this means for your results

A BenchBox run is not an official TPC result. Official results require a run that follows the full specification, an independent audit and a published full disclosure report.

When you publish numbers from BenchBox, describe them as derived from the benchmark, for example “TPC-H-derived” or “based on TPC-DS”, and do not compare them with official TPC results as if they were equivalent.

Redistribution of TPC Materials

THE TPC SOFTWARE IS AVAILABLE WITHOUT CHARGE FROM TPC.

Query templates and source specifications derived from TPC materials are subject to the TPC End User License Agreement (EULA v2.2). Complete copies of the license accompany bundled tool sources under _sources/ in the BenchBox repository. If you plan to redistribute TPC query templates, source specifications, or data generator output, or to publish results commercially, review the TPC’s terms and policies at tpc.org.
